Norwich, London, Bicester, Eastbourne – The Tour

Wend out repping this week – long time since I’ve done that. Really enjoyable in a perverse way, despite the M25 doing it’s very, very best to hold me back. We have decided that we need to get out and meet the book buyers at wholesalers ourselves rather than go through another link in the chain. Well worth the effort! Our titles for next year have been very warmly received and we are talking with the authors about ideas on marketing.

Talking of which we have taken the plunge and booked a stand at the London Book Fair in April. This is a real development for us and bloody scarry. Especially when you get the bill! But it does make a big statement about The Good Life Press.

Our new catalogue is hitting the doorsteps now. We have already taken quite a few orders from one of the magazines. The catalogue has, again, been changed considerably this year with us concentrated 100% on Good Life Press titles rather than buy ins.

Both Grow it Yourself and No Time to Grow are off to the printers today. Woodburning will be off end of next week along with Dave Dealy’s Archie Sparrow.

The Chicken Lover’s Cartoon Book will be down to the cartoonist next week and all being well that will be off shortly as well.

Just waiting for The Home Deli and Soap Craft text to come through next week and Les Ellis cartoons and then we can wrap up this years very, very busy publishing schedule.
