I turned 40 in June, and the last decade has been a strange mix of wine making, commercial property, playing the bassoon and medieval history. I live in Leeds, and can regularly be found nosing around Yorkshire hedgerows and friends' allotments gathering ingredients for my next brew. My house is packed with demijohns and bottles of home made wine, and Claire, my wife, is both tolerant and forgiving of this hobby. After all, if something is worth doing, it is worth overdoing.
